I played the Asylum Challenge for some months two years ago. I played two generations, father and son as the asylum directors. The place had no rules, it was a complete mess. I had an autonomous lovebed set at the second story with pregnancy on and a hack that took off the limit of 8 sims in the house so we started to have babies as bunnies. The first Asylum director was Kato, a sim born in-game (I can't recall who were the parents, poor Kato) with the romance aspiration. You can guess that he was platinum all the time since he used "non-orthodoxy" methods to deal with his patients.
In the beginning the patients died like flies (since they can not be played, according the challenge rules, only the asylum director can be played) and I used another non-orthodoxy method to get new patients: all sims who stopped by at the place were candidates. And this is how this happened. A true love story that last till the (happy) end.

And this is Gunzi, a sim I made to a friend who is a rabbid fan of a japanese game called Togainu no Chi (is a Boys Love game filled with violence). Gunzi was also a romance sim but different than Kato, who was a heartless mean sim, Gunzi was really nice and sweet.
They got along really fast. Kato used to have the wish to woohoo every single sim he met and it wasn't different on this case. Since I had a hacked bed in the second floor, it was easy to grant his wishes.
But they got along really well, I don't know why. It seems they were a perfect match and the more I played more this fact became evident. Gunzi had some babies with Kato but he was also very generous with the other Kato's offsprings taking care of them like they were his own.
This is one of their children, I don't remember his name. For some time I thought he was a good candidate to inherit the place but unfortunately when he transitioned to adult age he had a insanity stroke (aka aspiration failure) so he had to become one of the patients. These were some of the rules of the place: if someone reach platinum by itself it was sent away because it was "cured", if one of the children had an aspiration failure then the kid become a patient.
A I was saying Gunzi was an incredible partner. He took care of several chores by himself, like check the mail every morning.
... naked. Yes, I had a hack that made them stay naked if they lose their clothes for any reason so we had several of the residents naked almost all time. Nobody seemed to care, not even...
... the school headmaster. He always enjoyed to talk to Gunzi. I suspect he had a secret crush for him.
But things weren't all sweet all the time. There were some problems...
This was the biggest one (since the jealousy was on, we had several fights caused by the autonomous lovebed, including between Kato and Gunzi).
Gunzi had a particular beef with this sim who I don't recall the name, he had 3 of Kato's babies:
And the guy was so nice with Gunzi.
Apparently he didn't understood why Gunzi was so mad with him.
In the middle of the everyday-mess two important things happened:
Kato reached the seniority.
And that poor sim who I don't remember the name died of starvation (he always had problems to eat, I don't know why, I had several cases in the asylum, some sims simply starve to death).
So I thought it was a good occasion to make the doctor Kato tie the knot.
The first wedding happened in the winter.
We always had our weddings in the parking lot, no matter the weather. It was a beautiful wedding night.
Everybody enjoyed the party (there are at least 4 kids in this small crowd that are Kato and Gunzi kids).
Even the ghosts appeared to the party.
I thought this meant a new fresh period on their lifes, without jealousy, fights, or whatever. But then something else happened, because of the autonomous lovebed: Gunzi reached platinum for the first time.
Rules are rules. You can't stay if you reach platinum.
No, rules are rules, no matter how much you love the place, you must leave.
So a very heart broke Gunzi packed his things and left the place (and he had to break up with Kato too).
This was our last vision of him. Or so we thought.
Gunzi had other plans. He really loved the doctor.
He kept sneaking around the place, stealing the newspaper, playing with the dog, appearing in the middle of the afternoon. Apparently he already had forgave all Kato did to him).
Life in the asylum was still the same with the patients, the kids and grandkids.
And there he was, a lonely soul missing his family and his true love.
Poor thing.
Kato's feelings didn't changed either so I decided to give them a second chance.
He promptly said "yes". He looked really anxious for this.
And happy. :)
This time was summer, I guess, so no snow.
Family and friends reunited.
And they had a confusing and disturbed wedding night.
There was no privacy in this place.
And then, since Kato was getting really old I decided to retire him and give the responsibility of the asylum to his son (who looked exactly like him, it was unbelievable).
They moved to a beach-house where they could get some rest in peace and enjoy the retirement as a loving couple that they were.
The family always appeared at the house.
And sometimes, some patient too.
I hope you had enjoyed this unusual love story. I must play the asylum again, I enjoyed so much the first time. :)
