The Sun and the Moon challenge - Shakti & Teizo - part 05

Lots of emotions in this installment! I almost lost Shakti!!

We were living some nice and calm summer days. We had lots of fuits, some of them in good quality.

image

Teizo finished decorating the train-toy.

image

Shakti finished his romance and got about 2700 simoleons. This was great because they were short on money. The fruits were very welcome also for the same reason, I can restock their fridge with fresh produce. I was thinking in send Teizo to fish in one of the big parks at downtown but we were too busy raising Robin while taking care of the house, developing skills and hobbies.

An "aww" moment:

image

I opted to use this baby-math (I believe is from Simlogical) because toddlers can crawl so they can go to sleep and wake up and go to play by themselves. I wasn't sure if that would be considered "cheat" since the rest of the parenting job is still the same, feed him, bathe him, potty training, etc and he is in the second story of the small building so he really can't go anywhere because of the stairs.

image

He was always complaining.

Another "awww" moment: Shakti just woke up and was on his way to eat something and Robin "called his attention". I'm used that when toddlers does that they ask for bottles but it wasn't what Robin wanted, he wanted to be "nestled" (I'm unsure about the translation, makes sense?) and Shakti gave him what he wanted and Robin got some wants points.

image

I never saw this happening autonomously, it was completely unexpected to me. <3

Mommy-plant is a good mommy during the day...

image

Daddy-vampire is a good daddy during the night.

image

Teizo got/found an apple sculpture while he was "in a walk" and I was amused with this. Now the sculpture is part of the trash-pile.

image

And then the game warned me that Robin's birthday was about to happen. Poor Robin, he got  a pair of points playing with his toys and didn't even finished the potty training! But since I always sent Teizo to make him use the potty we managed to finish at least this. He will be a child who learned very few things, unfortunately.

I solved two problems that were bothering me: with simple wants like send Teizo to walk, play games in the computer, fix the trashed car, play with the remote control car, I managed to make Teizo go gold and he could drink some elixir of life (Shakti have much more aspirations points than him because he have several knowledgement wants that gives him 2500, 3500 points each time). I was worried because Teizo was quickly becoming a middle age plantsim and I want him to live more (since Shakti is eternal unless he does something stupid), I want him as an adult till Robin grows. My plan is to spore a plantsim-baby when Robin reach his teenagers years, close to become an adult. Since this is a challenge, I'm not going to send Robin to Uni. I have different plans. But you'll see, I don't want to spoil everything.

I also put some sunligh lamps in all rooms that Teizo uses and in the first floor, in the "garage". These lamps can be bought with the garden stuff in building mode and they really works. Teizo had no more lack of sunlight issues after that.

I decided to throw a little birthday party with friends but this needed to be done during the day because the kids grows up at 6 PM so it couldn't be a nocturnal party. Unfortunately, Shakti would have to miss the party.

I invited their few friends and I was happy that all of them attended the party: Stephan, his wife Alice, his eldest son Tairo, Brenda Broke (very pregnant) and Lucy Burb.

image

We had a chocolate cake, looks very yummi.

image

And here is Robin, all grown up. He resembles Shakti, he have his eyes! (considering that all my eyes are geneticized, this was a surprise, I was expecting a different eye color). And his face shape is very similar to Teizo's. He is such a pretty boy, he is going to be a beautiful man when he grows up. <3

image

And then, since I wasn't paying attention, Shakti did something stupid.

image

Do you see the smoke? It's the middle of the afternoon, your silly vampire! I think he wanted badly to party with his family and have a piece of cake, because he immediately helped himself with a slice while abundantly smoking.

He is not aware but he is dying. I've seen happen several times. All they motivemeters drop to red and they vanish in thin air.

image

So I paused the game to save him. I had to cancel the cake action and send him back to his coffin as fast as I could before he burn. Cancel an eating action is annoying, as you know. It takes forever to the sim drop the plate and move in a different direction. I finally managed to send him to inside the building but that didn't helped (as I expected) because once the vampire starts the dying process is really hard to stop, only the coffin can save them. And then, his coffin wasn't working, I could not click in the coffin! I tried to grab the coffin, sell and buy a new one (because it was possible that we had a bug) and discovered that Robin sneaked to Shakti's room and was sleeping in the coffin. So Shakti had to wait, on his room, still smoking and with the motivemeters dropping red while Robin get out of the coffin. Oh, the agony! Even after Shakti finally enter the coffin I wasn't sure if I had lost him. He didn't wanted to stay in the coffin because his bladder motive was completely red. Send him to the bathroom wasn't an option because of the windows. I finished adding a toilet temporarily at his room to help him and then I sent him back to the coffin. Then he was too hungry.
So I had to move the fridge to his room so he could have a snack. And he was too sleepy to eat. Well, after many comes and goes I finally managed to sent him back to his coffin and he calmed down.

It took almost 2 sim-days to him return to normal. I ended building a wall with a door in the middle of his room and locking the door so only he can access his coffin.

image

After all this mess, Teizo saved a slice of cake to him so he could enjoy his son's birthday cake later, safe in the nighttime.

image

Meanwhile... oh, look what we got here!

A magic lamp!
Stay tuned...

The Sun and the Moon challenge - Shakti & Teizo - part 04

I didn't played much yesterday because I discovered that for some reason I don't have my old genetics (skins, eyes, makup, eyebrows) backups so I panicked and went to a download spree to recover what I was used to have (mostly from GOS and asian sites) and ended downloading a lot of nice new things.

Where were we? Oh, yes, right here.

image

Teizo was crawling desperated for sunlight and I was helpless cause I didn't know what to do.

Well, I did nothing. I waited till the sun come. But I also checked the sims wiki and discovered that exist a lamp in the game that provide sunlight, I was mixing that lamp with a identical model from a previous expansion. I was buying the lamp in the lights department, it seems there is another one in the garden department. Since I discovered that after close my game, I must try today. Teizo definitely needs something to spend the night in a better shape.

Then when the day was arriving, guess what happened?

image

Exactly. The game counted the time we spent in the city shopping and in the wedding party as part of the pregnancy time and a baby boy born - and we called him Robin. He is a human-sim baby, not a spore-baby. I plan to have a spore-baby but I prefer to have them in this order because human babies grow, become toddler, then child and then teen and spore-babies jump from toddler to adult. So our future plantsim offspring will become older than our human offspring in a blink. It's better to wait till our human baby become a teen to have a plantsim baby. I'm planning to have them living together in a small earth house with a big garden. Probably in the Blue Water.

We spent three days very busy.

Teizo and Shakti had to take care of Robin...

image

... and I had to take care of Teizo and Shakti to keep them alive. I didn't took many pictures because it was very complicated and consuming.

image

They are both great parents.

We also continued with our everyday activities...

image

...and everynight activities.

image

image

Shakti is writing a novel.

Our little boy finally grow. I completely forgot the birthday party, again.

image

Oh, I loved the random hair!

image

It seems he have brown hair? That would be so perfect since Shakti have black hair and Teizo have blond hair! My game did that by itself? Unbelievable.

This is not really relevant to the story but I loved and took a picture:

image

Shakti caught a fish fishing in the dump pile (with the assistance of a "fish anywhere" hack that I use just because I think is a funny idea). The sparkling food amuses me since Seasons was released.

The Sun and the Moon challenge - Shakti & Teizo - part 03

So, yesterday, I decided to promote their wedding and I'm glad I did that because right after the wedding arrangements I had a surprise.

So first I took Teizo to Blue Water, my shopping district to buy some cool things. When I made him in CAS I didn't planned good clothes so we needed something cute to him wear at his wedding. Since I have some experience with plantsims I took him to shopping early in the morning so he could spend the day shopping and come back home still during the day (because of the sunlight). It's easy to find some water to drink everywhere and he could socialize with any other sim but it's impossible to emulate the sunlight from other source without a hack (actually a Monique's hack for the seasons ceiling lamp - that one that you put in greenhouses - that actually give to that lamp sunlight. I would explain how I got to that conclusion because I wasn't sure about that).

I'm glad I invested some time fixing Blue Water, is really a pleasure to go to shopping there. Our first stop was the flower shop and Teizo was happy because he wanted to buy a flower arrangement. I don't know yet where I'm going to put since the house is so small and is already cluttered.

image

Then we went to shop some clothes. We spent some time doing that and Teizo was starting to get really thirsty.

image

The next stop was the beauty salon, where there is a hot tub. I thought that the hot tub could fulfill Teizo's water needs but I was mistaken. It doesn't work. He needed a shower or a regular tub. I made him drink some water (he loses water really fast, similar to the speed that sims bladder motivemeter).

And I had the nice surprise to see that the default replacements that I installed are giving to me a nice result.

image

They look so much better with better clothes and hairs!

Our next stop was the bakery to buy some cakes (none of them have enough culinary points to bake cakes) and take a peek on the delicious wedding cakes.

image

I already have decided to make a special green cake to them (since now I know how to make them working properly).

Then it started to rain, what was a blessing. Plantsims can get all the water they need from rain.

image

This is the "perfect situation" for a plantsim: talking on the phone (improves "love"), in the rain with sunlight.

It was getting late so I decided to go back home. I didn't wanted to be caught by the night in the city. And when we arrived home I had a sweet surprise.

image

He was pregnant. <3

Nothing like be a pregnant plantsim with all needs fulfilled watching the clouds in the sun at home, in a dump. Life is good.

image

So, the wedding. I needed a night wedding because of Shakti. At this point I had checked all hacks that I have in my game to make sure that I didn't have any hack that helps the vampires to survive and I don't really have so I got into the conclusion that EAxis changed the vampire behavior in some expansion because what I remember from the basegame is that vampires were too easy to die and Shakti is surviving very well (I need to direct him to his coffin every morning but is not really a big issue).

We went to the beautiful wedding lot that I downloaded at MTS2 and adapted. I teleported their few friends and started the wedding. I really miss a lot of things in community weddings. Invite the guests automatically is one of these things.

image

image

image

It's fine, it worked enough to make me happy.
After the ceremony we quickly went to cut the cake to not give any time to the guests to start to toast.

image

I was happy that the cake perfectly worked. I need to take some better pics of this cake, is a nice cake with green decorated frosting and green flowers and leaves.

And to my surprise they actually went upstairs to eat the cake and give me a nice opportunity to a picture...

image

...with Stephan. I'm starting to consider to make him a vampire again. At the moment he lives with his CAS screen created family, wife and 3 kids and have a taichi academy.  But every time that I see him since this challenge started I feel an urge to rebuild his house and make him a vampire again. Well, maybe when the kids go to college.

We had some toasts and I completely forgot to make the "first dance" and take some pictures because it was getting really late and the day was about to arrive.

image

Yup, some moments later it was 6 AM and the lightning changed (I have a lightning mod that gives me sunrises and sunsets).

image

Time to go home, where was still 7 PM. Shakti survived the party without problems and I was really happy. But then...

image

Teizo passed out due of lack of sunlight. I tried to send him under the seasons-ceiling-lamp because I wasn't sure if that lamp worked with sunlight - but it didn't worked, it's something that is said in the object description but actually doesn't work. So I had to wait till the morning, very worried with the Teizo and the baby to see if he could survive the long, long night.

Stay tuned...

The Sun and the Moon challenge - Shakti & Teizo - part 02: finally a vampire and a plantsim

First, let's take a look at the lot. It's finally finished and working. I downloaded this lot at MTS2 and it was a community lot but I thought it would work better as a residential lot. It gave me a lot of work because there were some objects that caused too much mess like abandoned coffee cups (the sim was always trying to clean) or the growing weeds (we had a cockroaches infestation). But as soon as I solved these problems, the house became very playable.

image

image

image

I was sceptical about the fruits/vegetables because the winter was coming but to my surprise we actually could have some tomatoes and oranges.

This is what I call "vampire's trap": objects outdoor that they want to use. Once Shakti becomes a vampire I must pay attention on him during the day or he will become ashes too fast.

image

The winter came but to our happiness it wasn't a rigorous winter. We had some snow but not too much.

image

Teizo could continue to take care of the tomatoes (since the tress were in "sleeping mode") and work in the ruined car. Shakti could continue to develop his skills.

image

He really adopted the last floor (a room without windows) and the coffin.

Then, Teizo had all his wants related to love and relationship (I was expecting this since he is family/pleasure). Shakti and him were not getting along very well (for my surprise, since they were a couple in my last installment, living in a gorgious beach house and I kept the same signs, aspirations and turn-ons so they should be interested in each other). I even tried a blind date to Teizo, since Shakti didn't seemed interested at all.  In the end I think Shakti was being stubborn (he likes to play the tuff-guy) and Teizo was being shy because once I give them a little push in the right direction they quickly became friends and felt in love with each other. I didn't even needed to make a date with them!

image

Shakti really had met the Countess Maria in that cinema so he made several phone calls to her to become his friend and invited her to the house once. I discovered that they must be at least best friends so Shakti can ask her to bite him so things got a little complicated. It's taking more time than I thought.
Since it was winter there was no much chance to Teizo do gardening, we need to wait till the spring to be able to continue the process to make him a plantsim.

image

But the tomatoes survived, I was really surprised.

I finally got them to transform in vampire and plantsim! We are almost in the middle of the spring, it took some time but I finally managed to transform them.

First, the vampire. I was making Shakti invite the Countess Maria to visit and interact with her with no success. Unfortunately he didn't showed the want to become a vampire, I had to make it without him wanting, which is not my usual style but I did for the sake of the challenge. Since there wasn't an option "please, bite me!" in the menu with the Countess and I didn't remember how to do this without cheating (I usually selected the vampire and made him/her to bite the target) I ended asking Teizo to influence the Countess to bite Shakti. It worked.

image

YAY! I was beginning to feel hopeless because I didn't know how to make the Countess bite him without cheat. Then, in the very next day, while Teizo was taking care of the trees...

image

...he transformed into a plantsim!

image

He is so cute. At first he was wearing the default plantsim outfit but I could change that. I don't recall to have any hack installed to do that so I believe you can actually change the plantsim clothes. I remember I always did that.

I sent him to peek at Shakti's coffin.

image

I love this! <3

Then since Teizo's social was really low and all he needs now is water, sun and love, I promoted a date between them.

image

Both of them showed wants to get engaged and marry (and Teizo wants a baby) so I decided to make them happy.

image

Now I need to make the arrangements for the wedding.

Just as notes for those who never played vampires or plantsims:
