March Favorites Sims: Many Faces of Kato (or strange family trees that I make)

This post is out of date because I made before some of the later posts but I should have posted this here and didn't.  And Kato is definitely my favorite sim ever.  I only posted him once at Simvention because Destin loved him and I love Destin and once at Cassiopeia because some of the the girls became his huge fans after I post the Asylum Challenge. Maybe I'd post him again in the future in my new site.
 

I know that Kato is a born in-game sim, I know that I really didn't played with him for some time, I knew that I suddenly felt in love with him but several details escaped me because it was some time ago and because in the meantime my life became complicated, I spent more than a year without play, I even desinstalled the game, etc.

So basically Kato was someone who I recall that was too beautiful and feminine to look like a man and who I recall I decided to crossdress because of a suggestion from a friend.

Now I'm going to reveal the whole truth behind his origin and his personal story.

I was searching for a pic to N99 spring theme in my old backups. I knew that I should have something. I was searching in the Old Sedona folder, pics from my first Sedona hood that was tragically destroyed by a disaster in my HD. I lost several sims and lots of custom content in that disaster, caused by a hardware conflict. Fortunately I had backups from my special sims and for some reason that I'm not quite sure, Kato was backuped too.

Kato born in may or june, 2008. His oldest pic is dated Friday, 13, jun 2008. No kidding.

I know what happened. From time to time I start to look at some sims and wonder "how a offspring of these two sims would look like?" Then I make a quick-process: using insimenator I make one of the sims pregnant, accelerate the pregnancy, accelerate the birth and, obviously, accelerate the growing process to see the offspring as an adult. I believe Kato born this way just a couple days before my HD went kaput. I'm glad that I had the brilliant inspiration to extract him from the game.

Now take a good look at the picture. When I created these "quick offsprings" I used to take a pic of the new sim with his/her parents so I could easily remember who they were. Yes, exactly. These two sims in the background are Kato's parents! So, Kato is son of Lucius (the blond one), also kown as The Golden Dragon. (Those who read my stories at Cassiopeia will remember him). Kato's other parent is a sim I downloaded at Garden of Shadows (GOS) and I don't really remember his name.

It happens that Lucius is the beloved son of two my other adored sims:

Angelo...


and Chris.


Chris is a sim made by a nice and sweet girl at Simvention who, unfortunately, I don't remember the name. She made incredible sims, I was her hugest fan.

Angelo was made based in Fricorith Tricou (yes, seriously) so you can consider that he is a Tricou's offsprings.

Lucius had a happy childhood, he was a wanted and planned child. Chris was the mommy, Angelo was the daddy. I have adorable pics of Lucius as a child, like this one:



Lucius had some siblings also, some of them lost in my computer accident.

Kato was resurrected in august, 2008 to be a contestant in a GOS contest. The theme was "femboy" and I thought he was perfect for the contest. At that time I was trying some different looks to him but not the full crossdressing yet.



He looked very young with that look. Then a friend of mine who play sims for years and years with me, sometimes coming to my house to play my game and the only person I ever gave a full copy of my game and my downloads suggested to make Kato a crossdresser.

So Kato became a singer and dancer in a cabaret around the 20's/ 30's under the artistic name "Katrina".





I had great fun searching for body meshes, clothes and accessories to compose his appearance.
He didn't gathered much fans, to be honest, but he conquered one of my fav sims as his lover: Patrick.
They lived a very happy life in an awesome house. Unfortunately I lost that house in a stupid accident. I evicted the family by accident and lost the decoration. I had no backups.

In november 2008 Kato was chose to be a psychokiller in another GOS contest:



And that's how he ended as the Asylum director in the Asylum challenge, met Gunzi, had lots of babies and they were happy ever after.

(Hum. Mental note: add Gunzi back in the game. Perhaps he falls in love with Kato again).



But the astonishing piece of information that got me all excited is:
Kato is Angelo's grandson! And we can tell that he is Fricorith Tricou's grandgrandson!
How about that? Can you picture a nice, dramatic and exciting story about a unknown descendant of the Tricous? I believe that Kato will love this.

note: yes, I noticed that there are no women in this family tree. There is also some "spontaneous generation" with one single parent. My brother says  that sims are not mammals since they originally don't have nipples, nipples were added later by users and are feed by bottles. My brother also says that sims are probably reptiles so they don't really have the XY chromosome scheme but ZW chromosome with (sometimes) asexual reproduction. That's why male sims can have alien babies but female sims can't. My brother is fantastic. LOL

Testing Some Sort of Europe: Tarn and Kato's trip - part 01 - Hotel, Eiffel Tower, Spa and...

Landgraab and Florence are "almost" married so I decided to take a break, finish to place all Some Sort of Europe lots and test the whole thing. I want a smooth and fun honey moon to them and not an annoying interrupting-all-the-time-to-fix-lots trip.

I needed some voluntaires. I thought in use the Picassos, my cake testers but I didn't feel like. I would love to send D. and Patrick to a nice travel because they had a very simple wedding but D. is like 12 months pregnant. Same with Brandi Broke. Cassie and Don are still mourning Bella (well, Cassie is, you know Don). Vampires were out of question in this stage, too risky. Everybody else is single, teen or child. Oh, who could do this with me? I just need a nice couple who wants to spend some days in a luxurious suite in a 5 stars hotel jumping from one lot to another to test the hood to me. Who could do that? Who?

Of course.



Tarn had caught Kato cheating on him with Smelly Adam (you know, that townie who wear dirty pajamas and fart all the time? He was one of Kato's dream dates), playing the romantic game called Punch-Me-Punch-You and he was furious. Not for much time because I use the apologize hack from Inge and because Kato now have new amazing seduction techniques (as if he needed) from Freetime.



It's amazing what a rose made of rubber can do. Tarn definitely have a soft spot for him. And quickly they were romantically playing Punch-Me-Punch-You. Very sweet.



Kato is much more stronger than he looks.

So, I sent them to Some Sort of Europe to the same place where LandGraab already booked the Honey Moon Suite: the very elegant Le Fleurs Hotel. I redecorated the hotel a little bit because it comes with several objects that I didn't wanted or had others that I prefer. This is the result:

Pleasant backyard, there is a hot tub and a nice garden but no pool.

There are 3 more rooms, a white one (the honey moon suite), a blue one and a red/gold one.

Kato and Tarn ate some cake before we start to jump from one lot to another. They sat together at the same table, how sweet of them.



Then we went to the Parisian Cafe, but I'm not posting pictures now because the place was immersed in darkness, I had to edit the lot and add more lightning so we skipped to the Eiffel Tower.



The tower needed less maintenance than the cafe, just some extra lights because the area where is the small cafe was too dark. And while I was checking the lot, Tarn and Kato were having fun.



Kato transformed the fountain in a bubble bath and Tarn rewarded him with a serenade. And I laughed, cause they really get along very well.



The tower makes my game cringe in despair but the view is breathtaking. I placed the lot exactly in the middle of the hood so you can see all buildings from the top. There is no stairway nor elevator to go there, I teleported them. I'm considering the idea to add stairs or an elevator if is not too troublesome.

The next stop was the Hydra's Town Square, a lot that I really love but even after I edit, still needed maintenance.



I added a bathroom, a full kitchen (there was only the industrial stove in the space reserved for the kitchen), a dessert cart, a buffet, a bar and some decor. I changed some wallpapers, also. I need to visit again. We jumped to Jilly Jugs Spa a great lot with a nice building with hot tubs, exercises machine and a small restroom in the top. I added the massage tables and a nightclub. The lot comes with really nice wallpapers.









At this point I took them to have dinner in a nice restaurant that I already had in my game once, where Arsene proposed to Shakar. The place was immersed in darkness too so I need to go back there after I installed more lightning and take some decent pics. While we were at the Eiffel Tower, Tarn started to have strange desires.



Kato can't marry now. He still have to do whoohoo with 20 sims. He have a nice apartment. Tarn also have a nice house. I like them both. It's okay to have some babies, no matter who will carry and raise the baby but no wedding, no marriage.



Okay, some sort of engagement eloping without official marriage is an acceptable idea. We can visit some nice lots, take some nice pics, eat some nice cake, have some fun and you can both wear those diamond rings for a looong time. I'm fine with the idea.

Next:
We are now officially eloping. Without marriage, let me make this clear.



And:
I condoned with the idea so much that I even made a cake. That they wouldn't cut or eat since they are not marrying.



And:
A lot that just looks like Bahia or Recife, in Brazil. It instantly became my favorite.

Tarn's first date

I sent a polite invitation to Tarn to spend some time at Pleasantville since Kato had seen his picture and show some interest. I'm searching for a true love to him because I want that my fav doll have a happy life in this incarnation too. After some days Tarn politely answered that he could come and check the place and that he would feel honored in meet Kato. He moved to downtown to make it easy to meet him.

The first minutes playing with Tarn were very amusing. I made him with the traits that Nocommente sent, he is neat (7 points) and active (8 points), not nice and not playful (2 points each). He is a fortune sim, his turn ons are vampirism and perfume and I choose knowledgement as seconday aspiration (since he likes vampires, perhaps he wants to be one of them?). His LTW is to be a criminal mastermind - how amusing is that? So I got to him a job in the crime career - and his predestined hobby is sports. He rented a nice old house at Downtown filled just with the basic stuff and I decided that we were going to the Bike's Bar, a place that Kato adores to hang out.

It took just five seconds to Kato enters the door. I was thrilled.

Kato is also not a nice sim (3 points). His turn ons are accessories (glasses) and body shape. I believe that's why he felt so interested in Tarn at first sight. But I must confess I have no clue why Tarn was so interested in him so fast. Perhaps because of the special freetime romance sim traits like be irresistible and others because Kato don't wear perfume and definitely is not a vampire.

Tarn doesn't seemed to be bothered by the fact that Kato is a crossdressing girl. Well, I suppose that since he lives in a place where all men wear makeup, some wear dresses, fans and wigs, Kato looked pretty normal.

But Tarn is not an easy guy. Not at all. At first he pretended that he didn't noticed that pretty thing that came to play billiard with him.



He was just playing cool and trying to impress Kato with his astounding game technique (he is also hot and knows that).
Kato is not silly. He just pretended that he wasn't interested. Nope, not at all.



He could show up a little bit too because he is good in this game. And he had a lot of material to show up.



Tarn continued pretending that he wasn't interested while checking Kato's "game material".



Bad liar. If you are going to play tuff you shouldn't fart hearts all over the place.



 So Tarn decided to try an incredible "approach technique" that he must have learned in the middle school.



"Look, there is something in your shirt", or, "Hey, are these small boobies real?"
Whatever it was, Kato wasn't pleased.
(The guy following the conversation with high interest is Herb Oldie, who, apparently, just left his family at home to drink a little beer in some good company in the Bike's bar.



It's an impasse. What happens now, kids?



I see. It's one of those I-hate-you-I-adore-you kind of romances. It's something new in Kato's life. He always had pairs who blindly adored him to death. He is actually dating the Ice King (formerly the magic kind in Sedona) who is completely crazy about him. Tarn is smart. He could smell competition and he wants to make sure that he will be the winner (whatever this means when you date a romance sim).

Some talking, drinking and hot dogs later...



I think this is working well. You should invite him to a date, Tarn.

They went to Martine's Diner (downloaded at MTS2), my fav cheap place in Downtown. Tarn just arrived, he is starting in his criminal career and don't have money to afford luxury things. Kato doesn't mind, his previous dates took him to worst places.



Apparently it's Vampire's Night at Martine´s Diner.



Jeremy is giving some dance lessons to the downtownies with his impeccable dance style conquered after years dancing minuets.



Tarn decide to take some lessons with Shakti.



Well, if he enjoy vampires, he is lucky.
And for moments he completely forgot his date.
But the morning was coming and the vampires had to fleet. Literally.



You don't live a couple of hundred years if you can't run in full speed even wearing a wig, a long skirt and platform shoes. Very impressive.



Back to the date, they had some good time, eating some burned lobsters (I had no idea that such place served lobsters at breakfast), taking some pics in the pic boot.



Why she suddenly decided to appear everywhere I go with a romantic couple? Why? Why?



They weren't bothered for that even if apparently she carries horseshoes in that purse.
They decide to continue this date at Tarn's place. Good decision. Kato is really easy to please, specially because his LTW is whoohoo with 20 sims. He was not complaining, not at all.



I love this sofa-bed. In case you are interested, I got at GOS.
In the next morning, Kato had a naughty satisfied smile.



He also spent 2 days in the house. I was starting to think that he was going to live there by himself. And he is pretty much useless, he just watch tv, eat and pile up dirty plates.

Not that Tarn cared.



Finally, Kato went home and Tarn could focus in his job. He had to get some skills points to be promoted to "swindler".
And later, Kato appeared to drop a rose at his door.



Kato is pleased. Tarn is pleased. I am pleased.
Very good for a first date.

Next: I'm not sure yet. Work, promotion, some babies? I'm so curious to see how a Tarn/Kato baby will look like.
