LandGraab & Florence - Wedding Plans

This is going to be a long post filled with pictures. I'm enjoying very much all the process, I never had done a wedding like this one. Usually I choose the place, the outfits, pick up a cake and throw a party.

It's the first time that I made research, collected ideas from real weddings, planned everything, downloaded as an insane, made 5 wedding dresses to hate them all, tried several wedding dresses from other makers and could not decide for one, searched as a lunatic for the perfect cake to the engagement party, made invitations and plaques, searched for falling petals, flowers and other small details for the wedding party, searched for the perfect car to take the groom and the bride to the wedding place, learned how to make wedding cakes so I could make an unique recolor, made 6 wedding cakes till made one that made  me happy, tried about 50 anim/posebox to find the perfect poses to the shooting session, built 5 beach lots to have the perfect set for the pics, checked the guest list and checked all of them tosee if they were wearing appropriate and unique clothes, made 3 outfits for the groom and 3 for the bride wear in the engagement dinner, the civil union and the wedding party, searched for european lots to build the perfect destination for the honey moon... it has been awesome. I believe I will never do this again.

So let's start. First, the preparations. The painful, frustrating and upsetting process to find everything perfect for a perfect wedding.

The story begun with Florence and LandGraab arriving at the Ramirez house as a welcome wagon. They had a date, felt in love, had woohoos in LandGraab's sport car and in the end of the night, while he was checking one of his several business, Malcolm proposed to Florence.

She is not stupid, of course she accepted. It's the gold (digger) opportunity: a young, rich, handsome man and a 24k diamond ring. What else could Florence want?

They set a date... no, not really. I wanted to make a cake. I ended making several cakes and several weddings), almost all of them became prank cakes but finally I managed to make a correct one.
So, we had the cake. Awesome. We just needed everything else.

Florence is a sweet but determined woman - and she have a black credit card as the future Ms. LandGraab IV. She woke up one morning decided to find her perfect wedding dress.

image

See how she walks crossing the hall in a very determined manner?

Her first stop was at Blue Water beauty salon that, as several of you can guess, belongs to Cassie (Cassandra Goth, traditional owner of several beauty salons and fashion shop, 2 in 1).

image

She loved the hair and new earrings. Then she went to buy some flowers because LandGraab's Manor had no one.

image

The flower shop belongs to Denise Jacquet. Blue Water's dwellers are very traditional, they don't buy things at downtown, they try to encourage the local commerce. After that, Florence went to the most traditional clothing store of Blue Water, The Elegant Camel.

image

Everything in Blue Water is very classy and traditional. You should see the library. And the Palace of Justice. It's bigger and more impressive than that small courthouse at downtown. Yeah, "bluewaterians" are snobish because they can. They have farms, beaches, small buildings and commerce, all in one place. Pleasantville, pfff. Downtown, ha. Nothing compares with Blue Water.

Anyway, she tried some dresses.

image

Nope, I think that will look perfect in someone... er... (younger)... less important than you, dear. You need something really astonishing to impress the neighbors.

image

This is an excelent candidate. Nope, is not yellow. It's the sunset coming that makes look like this.

image

This is my favorite. I don't even know where I got (MTS2, I guess). If I definitely could not make one, this will be the one.

And then something surprising happened (it always happens, you know).

image

Florence met Mortimer Goth.
The elegant, handsome, not-so-milionaire-as-LandGraab-but-wealthy-and-very-very-married Mortimer Goth.
She have a crush on him. I don't know how this happened. Probably when I wasn't watching.

After a little chat, Florence went to The Jazz Bakery, Gilbert Jacquet's bakery.

image

It's a very refined place with lots of great products, Gilbert is very dedicated.

image

I downloaded exactly because looks like a church. It was a grocery store. I thought it was perfect for Blue Water.

image

Florence is lucky, the place is not too crowded. Usually people fight each other for a cake.

image

She doesn't seem to be impressed.

image

No, not at all.

image

C'mon, just decide and hire Gilbert to take care of the buffet and the cake. Even Cassie is interested!

image

She didn't bought! Unbelievable!

When she arrived home there was some sort of competition going on between Malcolm and Darren Dreamer.

image

They were making portraits. And made an amicable bet about who would finish first.

image

LandGraab won but he pretended that he didn't. And he paid a good money to Darren for the portrait: 450 simoleons.

In the next morning, the cakes, that Florence bought elsewhere, arrived.

image

You bought in the internet, don't you?

image

Seriously, they look awful. And they are not edible. And these are the worst recolors I ever made in my life.

image

What are we going to do? Pretend that we are eating cake while we are eating some shaving cream in a perfectly beautiful victorian plate?
It's so not going to work, Florence.

In the next morning Florence given up and called Gilbert who promptly came bringing several delicious samples from his bakery.

image

image

YES!! These are the real thing! This is what I'm talking about!
They look good, they are on a stand (as I wanted) and they are edible!! All of them, including the muffins and tarts!

image

Awesome!

image

This looks so much better, Florence.

image

The guests will feel spoiled by your incredible good taste, finesse and hospitality.

And:
They are not happy at all with the photo session.
