Adam is a young man with more than 300 years who moved to downtown in the XVII century when the place had only farms. Unfortunately his dear friends MadLizzie and Osiris turned into ashes a long time ago. Adam felt lonely but he was lucky enough to meet two other vampires.
The other two vampires are Lillie Charlote and Jeremy. They are friends for more than 200 years. Their last known address was a small building at downtown. Since Adam became lonely he decided to invite Lillie Charlotte and Jeremy to live with him. They transformed the very decadent House of Fallen Trees in an even more decadent place - in a different sense.
Adam have money. He could afford the new decór. He is also a very talented musicist and convinced his new friends to join him in his public performances. At first they just had small parts in minor plays and sometimes performed in the streets. But then the mayor reopened the old Metro Theatre and asked them to perform there in regular basis. To his own surprise, Jeremy became a star. People started to fight for a ticket to watch the show. They had full house for months.
The three vampires don't live alone. It would be dangerous, the world is not anymore so tranquile like the old times. So Jeremy, who looks like an angel but have a dark heart, managed to get an assistant to live with them and help them in the daily tasks: Rainelle Neengia.
She could not complain, she was dead. She was buried in the backyard completely forgotten by everybody. Jaremy made her a favor, bringing her back to life.
She have no really conscious of what she is. She adores Jeremy and the other vampires. They gave her life, a house and a job. They don't care if she makes strange noises and walk funny. She could not ask for more.
This night is a special night. Some extravagant rich man bought all the house to invite his friends to watch the vampire's performance. As many other people, the rich man doesn't know that they are vampires but it doesn't matter. What matters is the art.
Jeremy drove the big fancy limo to the theater. They arrived soon because they had a lot to do to guarantee that the performance would be perfect. They had to prepare the clothes and do the makeup, the worst part of the process of preparation. Fortunately the theater have several employees to take care of the artists.
The makeup girl asks Jeremy if he is happy with his appearance. He can't really tell, he have no reflection in the mirror. He will ask to Lillie Charlotte later.
The guests slowly arrive and gather in the waiting room. They decide to eat some of the delicious sweets that are served before the performance. Jeremy is anxious. They never performed for a closed party before.
The musicians start to play to call the guests attention. Slowly the persons start to sit and an excited murmur can be heard.
The lights are turned on and the performance begins. Tonight they are presenting Madame Buterfly, a very sad love story.
Jeremy is thrilled with the full house. The audience is in silence, following the dialogues and the sad songs. He can feel the motion, he can listen their hearts beating, the blood pulsing. It's exciting. Lillie Charlotte is impressive, she is definitely in her best performance.
When they finish the house comes down with applauses. They thanks and discreetly escape to the dressing room, leaving the theater before someone decide to ask for an autograph. They must preserve their identities.
LandGraab is thrilled. The show was better than he expected. He would love to meet the artists and tell them in person how much he loved the presentation. But when they reach the backstage only a strange girl is there, folding the clothes.
Oh, well, maybe another night. They are starving and the night didn't ended yet. They have a nice dinner waiting for them at the manor and the guests are impatient.
The dinner was a success. The guests loved everything. After the delicious meal Florence serves the delicious cakes that she bought at Gilbert's bakery. Then they go to the main room for a toast.
It's quite late and the guests leave. Finally LandGraab and Florence can celebrate alone.
It's a perfect ending for a perfect night in a perfect safe world (if only they knew).
