So I spent all night playing and I'm posting the result before go to sleep. We had such a lovely and fun wedding! I believe this was the wedding I most enjoyed in all my sims weddings ever. Everything was easy and smooth to do, everything worked very well and we all had great fun.
First let me introduce the two lovebirds and tells a little bit about the story. Gilbert needed a good girl. His mother, Denise, is quite traditional and spent her whole life at BlueWater. Denise is anxious to have lots of grandchildren so Gilbert felt some pressure. They own a nice bakery called The Jazz Bakery. Gilbert is almost 30 years old so Denise was getting desperate. I was too because I tried several blind dates to him and he didn't really liked any girl. Till Jenna fall from CAS.
Jenna is a sim I modeled after one of Peggy sims by request. She have a dollface because of that. She doesn't really look like my usual sims and I never played with her. I added her and Melinda Prada to my game as my last attempt to find someone to Gilbert. Gilbert instantly liked her. They went to a double date, Gilbert and Jenna, Melinda and Goopy. I didn't promoted that, Gilbert did by himself when I was playing with Jenna making a call and inviting Jenna to a "casual group" (we have a therm for that in portuguese, is called "balada", is like a big casual party, but I don't know how is called in english). Gilbert was right, Goopy and Melinda are made to each other.
It amuses me to no end when romance sims find true love. It's such an irony. But Melinda and Goopy really are a perfect couple, 3 lightning bolts and hearts popping all the time. Gilbert decided to propose to Jenna, since he was wanting that so much.
She accepted, of course, so I made the arrangements for the wedding. Jenna is a very joyful, happy and carefree girl. Gilbert is sort of timid and too busy with his work. Denise is traditional but have an incredible sense of humor. So I thought a traditional but not so formal wedding could be the best option and choose white and blue to the color scheme.
We needed some pictures first because after the experience with Florence and Landgraab I decided to take care of my sims weddings better than I did in past.
I love this pic because I think it shows perfectly how this couple is. Gilbert is goofy and clumsy, that kind of guy who makes a joke and then blushes, embarrassed. And Jenna have a great spirit, she always laugh and hug him. I believe both are also family sims. I forgot to check.
We went to BlueWater pier to some pictures.
I was too lazy to use poseboxes today so all pictures are spontaneous but I loved the result. Gilbert and Jenna definitely cooperated with me.
Oh, and I found by accident the balloon that I wanted after see some of Nocommente's screenshots.
After this photo session we returned to Gilbert's home, a small 4 store building to get ready to the wedding. Remember that I mentioned that I wanted to use that alpine lot as a wedding place? I did that.
Here the lovebirds, ready to go, in front of Gilbert and Denise's house:
I choose something really casual, simple and modern for them to wear.
The place is ready for the event:
I wish I had make a pic like this one to Florence and Landgraab, with all guests, it didn't occurred to me:
We have the groom and the bride and Denise, in a beautiful blue outfit. The girl at Denise's right side is Tracy Chapman, she study at Uni and is Jenna's friend. The two girls at Gilbert's left side are Melinda (in the acqua dress) and Maria (the teenager), Melinda's adoptive sister, ex-townie. We can also see Landgraab and Florence right behind Denise and we can not see Checoleon Ramirez right behind the groom, completely hidden by Gilbert. The blond with a perfect tan in a blue dress between Gilbert and Maria is Checo's girlfriend and former corrupted reporter, Ursula. Goopy joined later because I forgot him.
This is other shot that I wish I had made with Florence: the groom waiting his bride and the bride walking across the wedding place to the arch.
It worked so beautifully!
The ceremony:
The wedding cake:
The guests enjoying the cake:
Florence and Landgraab elegant as always, with Ursula:
The toast:
The first dance:
And then, I freed them to have fun and we really had great fun together.
They danced a lot!
Then we had a karaoke session:
Maria...
The newlyweds...
I laughed a lot with Florence drolling over Landgraab!
Everybody was tired and the day was coming so they started to get some espressos.
Then, it rained. It's spring, after all.
And we finished the party and sent everybody home. I had a blast.:)
